We all know that you love spending your free time reading up on different dental procedures. It makes for a scintillating way to pass the time at the office.
All kidding aside, we know that these aren’t the most interesting topics. But if you have any sort of oral health problems, or you’re looking to get your smile looking as perfect as possible, it’s worth your time to read up on the many different options you have to do just that.
Today, we’ll be taking a look at dental bonding, and how it might play a role in your life.
What is bonding?
Dental bonding is the process of using a special resin to fix chipped teeth. Dr. Gregory Dvorak here at New Prague Gentle Dental Care in New Prague, Minnesota will apply the resin to your affected tooth (or teeth) and shape it to match your natural tooth. Once the resin is in place, it’s blasted with a UV light and hardened immediately. Lastly, you’ll need your bonding polished and colored to match the rest of your teeth.
Do they last?
Dental bondings are made from a durable resin, so you shouldn’t have problems with yours unless you do things that could hurt your teeth. Taking special care of your bonded teeth will ensure that they last as long as you need them to.
Perhaps the best part of dental bonding is that it’s a process that doesn’t hurt one bit! It’s a relatively quick procedure, too. If you’d like to make an appointment, or simply learn more, please call us today at 952-758-3003. We can’t wait to help you!
